Wall axis with guides, no stray holes in copies — Wall axis + guides: in “Wall axis” mode the hole still runs only along the axis, but it stops on a guide line that crosses the axis (e.g. a guide measured with the Tape Measure across the part) — the same on a line drawn on the face and at a guide point. No hole on the “other side”: when the second part of a joint is a component that sits turned differently (mirrored, 180°) at another copy, it is separated while drilling (Make Unique), so each part has only its own hole. No hole without a bolt inside assemblies: when a part sits inside an assembly that is in the model several times and the bolt goes only through some of them, the other assemblies are separated (Make Unique, together with the part inside) and get no hole. A part lying on the axis between selected parts (e.g. a board between two selected tubes) is always taken into the joint; the cursor message says when the joint uses the selected parts. The “hole would go over the edge” message names the part.
